How much do eLearning offerings cost?

We keep our eLearning offering prices affordable. Some content is offered free of charge, while many eLearning offerings start at $9.95 each. Discounts are offered for full series.

In most cases, certificates showing continuing education credit hours earned must be purchased in addition to purchasing the webinar or online course. These certificates cost $25 a piece. Some certificates for the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP) and the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) may be provided free. Refer to the information on earning credits. An AFB certificate is always provided complementary for everyone who successfully completes an eLearning offering.

Bundling of webinars, online courses, and electronic AFB Press publications is available. For details, contact the director of the AFB eLearning Center, George Abbott.

How do I earn professional development credit?

Most eLearning offerings provide continuing education (CE) credits from such certifying bodies as ACVREP and CRCC.

If you are approaching recertification, you might consider earning credits through AFB. An AFB certificate is always provided complementary for everyone who successfully completes an eLearning offering. Certificates are emailed immediately upon successful completion of the webinar or online course and are also available in a downloadable format from the "Manage My Certificates" page.

To earn credit for a webinar or online course, you must first purchase certificates, unless they are provided complementary as part of a group licensing agreement. Passing the post-test with a minimum score of 80% is required, and an online evaluation must be completed.

If you plan to purchase certificates for more than one certifying body to earn professional development credit, you might consider purchasing them at the same time. Additional certificates purchased after one has been earned for an eLearning offering will require the post-test to be retaken and the evaluation to be resubmitted to obtain the subsequent certificates.

You can add certificates any time within one year of your original purchase of the eLearning offering.
